Day 1

Ok. It’s time to start! Day one. The meal plan suggests that you have 3 meals in addition to your morning shake. That will be the case on most days. Here are a couple suggestions in making your shake everyone morning. I’ve been drinking the shakes for 7 years and have pretty much perfected what I call “the perfect shake”. We use a magic bullet blender, it’s perfect for making just one serving. Add 8 oz of cold water, 4-5 ice cubes, 1 tbsp of flax meal (optional), 1 tsp of peanut butter (optional & best with chocolate), then add the shake powder & blend.

The meal plan highlights the recommended protein; today it’s chicken, sandwich (lunch meat), and lean ground turkey. If you don’t like any of those you can make a protein swap. Remember you can add unlimited amounts of vegetables (preferably low starch) so here are a few meal to make suggestions.

Chicken – Cube your already grilled chicken and mix up a salad with lettuce, peppers, onions, tomatoes, etc. For dressing try  salsa or a light vinegarette.

Sandwich – Use one slice of bread and put spicy mustard on it, deli sliced turkey & a slice of cheese. Put it in the toaster oven for a warm cheese melt.

Lean ground turkey – you should have some already made and in the fridge. We make ours in the skillet. Brown it then add McCormicks low sodium taco seasoning and 1/2 of salsa and a little water if necessary to disolve all the seasoning. Simmer on low for at least 10 minutes to allow the seasoning to cook in. Transfer to a container for the fridge. Now it can be eaten cold or warmed up per serving. Try a “naked burrito”, put a serving of the taco meat in a bowl add cut up veggies & a little cheese and salsa and eat with a fork. It’s good cold or warm!

Exceptions for everyday – If you exercise then add a shake, preferable the muscle gain (it’s double proteins to carbs) or post – workout recovery to illuminate soreness & fatigue after strenuous workouts.

Drink as much water as possible. Your goal should be 1/2 your body weight in fluid ounces; example- if you weigh 200 pounds drink 100 fluid oz.

Enjoy!
